Catching Foxes & Finding Peace

True peace is something only the Lord can give. To walk in His peace is to walk in the place of victory because it is the God of peace that crushes the devil under our feet. The good news is that God’s plan is to crush the serpent’s head in all that concerns your life! Jesus came to give us life – and life more abundantly. Don’t ever allow the enemy to take away what is rightfully yours. God has a huge divine inheritance for you – and wants you to experience that fullness of life right now.

And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Romans 16:20

Catch the Foxes

So how do we walk in God’s peace continually? It is the little foxes that spoil the vine.

Catch us the foxes,
The little foxes that spoil the vines,
For our vines have tender grapes.

Song of Songs 2:15

The picture here is how these little foxes take the fruit of the vine. It is a picture of the good fruit that God is desiring to produce in our lives – or the things that really matter most. The parallel of things that run the same track as the foxes would be worry, covetousness, pride, envy and all the works of the flesh – things associated with the temporal rather than the eternal. These are the things that steal the fruit of the Spirit from our lives.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21

Seeking the Face of God

When we put God first, seeking His face, then all the things that those who don’t know God desire – will be added to us. (Matthew 6:32-33)

“Oh, that you had heeded My commandments!
Then your peace would have been like a river,
And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.”

Isaiah 48:18

Our key is to seek the Lord, loving God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength. (Mark 12:30) As we do this we find the wisdom that comes from above that is peaceable. This peace of God then works from the inside out. So many times people will try to get things worked out in the natural thinking that then they will have peace. Many will say, “If I can only have this, if I can only get that or if this happens” then everything will be ok. But that is really a deception.

God has created us to prosper from the inside out. When His kingdom is established in the heart then it also will manifest in the external, the way we live, the choices we make, and in the things that we so desire to change. This is why Jesus is called “The Prince of Peace”.

When He comes to rule in our hearts there is such a transformation, such and establishment, and such a metamorphosis of our thinking that His peace overflows into all that concerns us. Habits change. Thinking changes. Creativity begins to be released in the heart as well as we are created in the image of the Creator.

His Peace & Unlimited Possibilities

His peace taps us into His divine realm of possibilities. Where someone used to “think the worst”, now they are “thinking the best” with great expectation of what God wants to do because “He is good”. God wants to encourage you to believe that He wants to do supernatural good in your life! Good that is far beyond the mirage of boundaries that exist in the mind – for with God there are no boundaries.

Receiving from God can be one of the hardest things for people to do.

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

Mark 9:23

Say to the Lord, “I receive your blessing upon my life, I receive your gifts, I receive your goodness – I believe and I receive!” Let God bless you today because all things are possible for him who believes.
