Living Ahead of the Curve

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Hebrews 11:6

How do you live for God ahead of the curve? Is it possible that you can actually apprehend things by faith rather than waiting on God to show you all the details Or do you need to hear God every time to do things in His will There are times we need to hear God, but other times we need to just know in our hearts what is pleasing to Him.Jesus only did what He saw the Father doing (John 5:19).

Does that mean that He had to wait to see or was it that He saw what would be pleasing to the Father because of His abiding connection with Him. It is clear that Jesus was pulled upon by the faith of people who refused to let Him pass by. These people pulled in the goodness of God by faith by their hunger and pursuit, even being willing to look like fools doing so.

Desperate Faith

Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out all the more, Son of David, have mercy on me! So Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called.

Mark 10:45-49

Blind Bartemaus called on Jesus numerous times before ever receiving a response as Jesus ignored him. The woman with the child in need of healing was willing to be called a “dog” to receive the miracle, not even taking offense at what Jesus had called her (Matt. 15-21-28).

Jesus did what He saw the Father doing, knowing His Father’s heart’s response to hunger and faith. As we go about the Father’s business, abiding in His Presence, we too should look for hunger, desperation and faith that will pull the power of God’s Spirit from within us. In doing so we join Jesus, participating in fulfilling the Father’s desire to grant the requests of others.

Proactive Faith

In our own personal lives this applies to the promises we are apprehending. Are we waiting on a “word from God” or is our faith pulling in the blessing of God where we are living above the curve? When we live above the curve our dreams become reality. Faith is essential to see God’s glory and promises manifested in our lives. Practice the Presence of God allowing the Spirit’s inspiration into your heart.

Step out in faith activating the promises of God to manifest in your life.

Be a conduit to meet the hunger and faith of others that you come in contact with. God’s exceeding abundant life will meet you there.
