Praise, Worship & God's Power for Our Lives

John Belt
1. Praise & Revelation
Revelation 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, ?See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.?

Revelation is directly connected with our praise and worship of God. When we worship we ascend to His Throne and go higher and deeper into His Kingdom realities. The more we worship the more tangible and real His life becomes to us. As we praise He inhabits us. We come to a fuller realization of our lives being the habitations of God. The spirit of revelation is released upon our lives the more that we worship. To have revelation is to have light. His Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. But it take the Person of God to make that written Word light to us. And kind of revelation that God gives us is light. This revelation can be directional and personal to our lives. It is necessary and needed for us to accomplish what we are called to. God delights to give us encounters so that we may stay on the right path. But just like anything else in the Kingdom, there is a price that has to be paid. It is here that we will be found in the center of God?s will and desires. There are many distractions on the road. But He is able to keep us from all of them all. A life of worship will keep us abiding in this place of light.
2. The Dwelling Place of God
Ephesians 2:22
In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
We are the house of prayer. We are the temple of worship. We are the place where His glory dwells. We have this treasure in earthen vessels. We don?t need to go to a building to do this. This is the whole purpose that He chose to come and live IN US. We are portable tabernacles of God! It is our mandate to carry the anointing of God on and in our lives. There is a devotional anointing that lives within us that needs to be tended to and cultivated in the secret place of prayer. Then there are mantles of anointing that are released for specific purposes and divine tasks that the Father determines. As we step out in faith to be conduits of His power we more fully realize and experience these mantles of anointing predestined for our lives.
3. Depending on His Power
2 Corinthians 4:7
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”
It is the Father?s will and desire to equip us with His power. We need all of the power of God that we can get on our lives. It is not that we strive or work for this power. But we must be willing to pay the price for His power manifested in our lives. His Presence is always there for us, but there is a price for His power to be released in our lives. If we don?t, by default we are operating in our own strength.
Matthew 17:20
“Then Jesus answered and said, ?O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.? And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, ?Why could we not cast it out?? So Jesus said to them, ?Because of your ? unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ?Move from here to there,? and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
And we must know that the power of God is available to us for the work of ministry and operate in that power. Whether preaching, teaching, healing, working miracles or in worship God can and will release His power through us. We need His anointing to function for what we are predestined and called to do. He has already predetermined our roles in the earth and for each call He has an anointing to place upon us for the fullness of the manifestation and effective working of that call.
Praise leads to worship, worship leads to revelation, revelation leads to prayer, prayer leads to stepping out, stepping out leads to dependence and faith in God, faith leads to realized power manifested in our midst! God has called us to to go higher, dig deeper, see bigger, prayer & praise continually and move into position to apprehend that fullness of what He has called us to in touching lives with His power.
